Equation Override

The Equation Override tab allows a user to perform several advanced operations when creating a prescription.

The following section describes how to create an Equation Override.

1. To create a conditional statement, Field Objects must first be displayed on the Map Pane. Field Objects are created in the Map tab. After Field Objects have been created, go to the Equation Override tab to create conditional statements. In the example below, a field object named Test is visible.

2. Click the blue Add button in the top right corner of the form.

3. This has added a line to create a Conditional Statement. Multiple conditional statements can be written for the same field.

4. Choose an attribute from the dropdown menu.

5. Choose the position of the statement from the Position dropdown menu. The position of the statement will depend on the type of statement being written.

6. Click the Nutrient dropdown and select the nutrient(s) the statement will apply to.

7. Enter the test inside the Test box. Examples of test items would be Z=3 to make the statement only apply to an area of Zone 3, or pH<6 would only apply to zones that have a soil test with a pH of less than 6. Click the blue question mark next to the word Test to view more examples.

8. Enter the condition of the statement into the Conditional box. Examples of conditions would be NNEED=100, or Rate=50. Click the blue question mark next to the word Conditional to view more examples.

9. Click Advanced to open the Edit Equation window. This will allow a custom equation to be written for the Test and Conditional columns.
